Posting this in assistance to OSFM project for CRR.
Good Afternoon State Fire Service Leaders!
We have all heard of Community Risk Reduction (CRR) but what does CRR mean to you and your organization? North Carolina is working to become the next State on the Vision 20/20 Statewide Collaboration and Engagement Framework (SCEF). This collaborative process is designed to bring all the major fire service organizations in North Carolina together to determine how to develop strategies that can directly impact citizens and ultimately our firefighters. Strategies developed by this working group can create achievable goals and objectives for use throughout the state or in areas where specific risks may be more prevalent. Most fire service groups are already doing some form of CRR, but it is our hope through this process, the SCEF will allow each organization to work to reduce risks in the area of their expertise in the state.
The Office of State Fire Marshal-Injury Prevention Section will take the lead on this project but we are requesting a representative from your organization at future meetings to discuss how NC can implement a statewide effort. In addition, we ask that you take this short/10-question survey to help us start to prioritize our areas of concern in the State. The survey is on google forms, once submitted it will go to Vision 20/20 for analysis by a CRR Technical Advisor.
